Every month, we are profiling one of the Red Ark team to allow our clients to put a face to the many names they speak with regularly.
This week we are sitting down with Natalia Barcari .
How long have you worked in the Payroll world? I’ve been working with Red Ark for 2 years as a Customer Service Administrator.
What do you feel your strengths are? I feel I have good communication and organisational skills. My approach to work is flexible and adaptable. My main strength is the ability to help guide our contractors in different languages, explaining processes and ensuring they understand taxation laws.
What do you feel is an important part of your role? I think the main part of my role is to ensure we have a strong relationship with the contractors and agencies. I always try to resolve queries and cooperate with different departments to increase the customer service performance and improve upon the payroll system. The most important part of my role is the translation of processes and procedures to our foreign contractors. We have Romanian or Russian contractors looking to speak to someone in their native language on a daily basis and every time I help them, I receive great appreciation which adds meaning to my role.
What challenges to you face? 2020 was a massive challenge for everyone with getting to know new systems and new colleagues with us all working from home most of the year. I feel very privileged to see Red Ark expanding, growing and improving every day.
What is your favourite thing about working for Red Ark? It is our team, even though we are spread across the country, we still have a strong union and our teamwork provides a productive atmosphere. We always have open and honest communication and I truly admire my colleagues. Working for Red Ark, I feel I am appreciated and encouraged, and it motivates me to work even harder. We have a very positive work environment and everyone is engaged in the activities we have within the company.
Tell us more about you Natalia! I am from Moldova but 4 years ago I was lucky to move to the most beautiful country in the world – Scotland. I used to work as a salon administrator and stylist which is still my hobby. I consider myself to be quite a proactive and positive person and I love spending time with my friends and family. I also like to explore Scotland every time I get a chance to do it as I am very impressed by the culture of this country and the people.
